We’ve heard many stories from clients and relatives of our clients say things like “I wish I would’ve thought of having a wedding videographer” or “I’m hiring a wedding videographer for my daughter’s wedding because I never had a wedding video, and it’s nice to have when you’re older”. Most people in general don’t like seeing themselves on camera so when their first instinct is to avoid it all together! Anderson & Brin’s Wedding Elopement

Videography vs Photography
Before going too into the subject, we’ll first have to talk about the differences between Wedding Videography & Photography. Wedding photos are awesome to have. There’s nothing like an artist with a camera, capturing a singular moment in time and creating a memory for you to cherish and share with friends & family for the rest of your lives. At the end of the day however, a photo is just that, a singular moment in time. As the years go on, the memories of your wedding day slowly start to fade and before you know it, all you have is those precious photos. That may not be a bad thing necessarily but that’s why having a dedicated videographer is equally as important to have for your wedding. We don’t just capture a moment in time, we capture your wedding day as it actually happened. You get to watch and relive those moments unfrozen in time with all the smiles, tears, and joy you had on your wedding day.
Who’s coming to the Wedding? Why Elope?
There are many reasons why a couple can choose to elope for their wedding day. Some want to skip the large bill that comes with a blowout wedding. Some always pictured a small but quaint wedding day without all the stress that comes with the planning process. Some couples found their life partner much later in life and have had a few marriages before, so eloping just feels more right, because they want to start their “forever-after” as soon as possible. Whatever the reason, most wedding elopements are small and most of the family won’t be able to make it. Beyond getting a wedding video for you, having one to share for your parents, friends and family is also a great reason to have your ceremony filmed.
Livestreaming the Ceremony
This may not be an issue now, but during covid (2020) we had a huge increase in wedding elopements because of the limitations of large gatherings and travel. You might even have some family that can’t travel even after covid simply due to their age. Our solution of course was to professionally livestream the ceremony. Now yes, you can buy an inexpensive phone holder and Facebook livestream your ceremony but that comes with a few complications that most people won’t foresee. The biggest one is audio quality. At a smaller wedding like an elopement, there isn’t a need for the officiant to speak loudly and clearly since he’s mainly talking only to the couple in front of him, therefore it’s hard for the phone to pick-up what anyone is saying. The next biggie is data. Most phone livestreams drop out depending on the location of the wedding or the carrier of the device.
