Growing a Business with an Explainer Video
Introduction
There are many reasons to produce an Explainer Video. Maybe you’re a top mind in your field and you want to pass the knowledge to your peers. Maybe you’re a pioneer in an up-n-coming industry and you need to educate your audience. Maybe you have 25+ years of unique experiences that nobody else has and you just started your own business. Whatever the reason may be, Explainer Videos are a straightforward and efficient way to tell your story and educate your audience. We’re going to talk about the makings of an Explainer Video, why it’s useful to have one, our process in producing one and how you can grow your business by creating video content!
What is an Explainer Video?
Throughout the years at San Antonio Video Productions (SAVP), we’ve had several of our clients needing Explainer Videos, simply because they have an audience they need to educate. They’re made up of an introduction, key topic points and a call-to-action to learn more. These videos are 1-10 minutes each for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Industries that we’ve created Explainer Videos for include Real Estate, Dentistry, Business Coaching, Crypto, etc. Every business/industry can benefit from educating their viewers and prospective clients.
Growing your Business
Educating your viewers with an Explainer Video can go a long way in building a solid relationship with your business clients and potential customers. From the audience’s perspective, they’re also finding more reasons to trust you especially when you’re knee-deep in the trenches of the industry you’re talking about. This makes your audience more likely to buy into your messaging, follow your word and more importantly, care about your journey & business. Beyond the points I just made, Explainer Videos are also great for potential investors when you’re looking to raise funds for your next project.
Working with RacerDAO
When Marc LaFleur reached out to San Antonio Video Productions, he was looking for a way to both educate his viewers and attract potential investors. He was building RacerDAO, an NFT/Crypto solution to make Formula 1 motorsports accessible to the general public and not just the ultra-wealthy.
Our Process – Creating an Explainer Video
Creating an Explainer Video with SAVP is a very straightforward process. First, we’ll meet to discuss your goals & plans for your business and how this video will help you get there. Second, we decide what’s the best way to educate your audience. In Marcs example, utilizing B-Roll from Storyblocks was the way to go. Other examples include our team collecting the B-Roll or in some cases, you want to present using a PowerPoint presentation. After we decided the best method in producing your video, we then start developing a script and begin filming. These video projects typically take 1-3 hours to film, depending on how many speakers you’re wanting on camera.
Creating a Program for your Viewers
Before we conclude this blog, we want to mention the added possibility of creating a full-fledged program for your viewers. We’ll discuss more in detail about this in a future blog but the main gist of it is that if you’re a business coach or an influencer online, you can utilize Explainer Videos to sell and promote your own classes for your paying customers. Our latest production doing this was for a business coach named Cash Flow Mike. We filmed 8 1-hour videos in a single day and a few weeks later, he had a full 8 Step Program that he was selling to the viewers that follow him. Cool stuff!
Conclusion
Whether you’re building a program, attracting potential investors or simply wanting to build trust with your viewers, an Explainer Video is an essential part of growing your business.
