San Antonio Zoo Annual “Cry Me a Cockroach”

Each year the San Antonio Zoo hosts the annual “Cry me a Cockroach” Valentine’s Day event. This yearly event takes donations online for a chance to get to name animal treats and food after your ex boyfriend and girlfriends. Then those treats get fed to the animals at the San Antonio Zoo! They’ll feed roaches and rats to snakes and even Komodo dragons! The “Cry me a Cockroach” event gained so much popularity from across the United States and even from 24 other countries. Ruptly Media, and international news outlet from Belgium reached out to San Antonio Video Productions to collect footage from the event. This year, the “Cry me a Cockroach” event is hoping to raise enough funds to go towards the big cat sanctuary.

Ruptly Media commissioned for a Media Package for this production. A media package is a series of interviews and b-roll coverage of an event or project. Ruptly Media takes this package and distributes it to their editors for use in their network television commercials, promo videos and more.
